Entertainment Desk: daughter Actress Dia Mirza often shares various incidents on social media about her son Awan. Now the actress talked about step-daughter Samaira Rekhi. Dia spoke about Samaira while talking about Mother’s Day in an interview.

Dia said that Samaira does not address her as ‘mother’ even though it is a mother-daughter relationship. He even said that his son Awan also does the same when he sees Samira.

Dia says, Samaira never called me ‘mother’. I also have no expectation that he will address me as ‘mother’.

He has his own mother whom he calls ‘Mom’. Samaira calls me ‘Diya’. And seeing that, Avyan sometimes calls me ‘Diya’. Sometimes called ‘dia mom’. Very funny!’

On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Dia shared pictures with both Samaira and Awan on social media. He wrote in the caption, ‘The greatest achievement of my life is that I have been able to be your mother. Samaira and Avyan, you fill me up.’

In 2021, Dia married businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in Mumbai. The wedding was attended by close family and friends.

Diya gave birth to Avyan that year. But the newborn has to face several physical complications at the time of birth. On the other side is Samaira, the child of Vaibhav and his first wife.
