85 people died

International Desk: 85 people died in one day in India’s Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh due to severe heat wave.

Among them, 19 people have died in Aurangabad district of Bihar state. Last Thursday, the temperature rose to 48.2 degrees Celsius.

According to a report of Hindustan Times, senior officials of those areas said that due to the severe heatwave, public life has become chaotic. As a result, people are at health risk. Elderly people are dying due to this.

Earlier on Wednesday, a new record of maximum temperature was created in Delhi. A temperature of 52.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in the suburb of Mungeshpur on this day, which is the highest in the history of India.

Orissa
An official of India’s Central Disaster Management Department said that the people of Odisha have been the most affected by the ongoing heat wave.

The humidity has reduced significantly in the state since last few days. There, the temperature hovered around 50 degrees.

Senior officials of the Odisha Health Department said that 46 people died in the state due to heat stress in one day. Five of them died in Sundargarh, Sambalpur and Bolangir districts of Rourkela city.

41 people died last Wednesday. Eight people died in Rourkela Government Hospital between 1.30 pm and 8 pm.

Nilakantha Misra, director of public health of the state, said that 46 people have died in the current heat wave. He said, “The bodies of those who died due to heat have been sent for autopsy.”

Some parts of the state recorded a temperature of 45 degrees last Friday. It reached 45.2 degree Celsius in Sambalpur,

44.6 degree Celsius in Jharusugada and 44.5 degree Celsius in Hirakund. Humidity has reached 80 percent in coastal areas, the India Meteorological Department said.

Bihar
19 people have died in the ongoing heatwave in Bihar. Eight people died in Arwal, Buxar, Rohtas and Begusarai districts of the state. In Bhojpur, nine people died, including five people involved in election work.

Eight people including one soldier died in Jahanabad. Six people including a teacher died in Kaimur district. Three people died in Gaya. Two each died in Sheikhpur and Munger.

Two others died of heatstroke at a railway station and an agricultural officer while undergoing treatment at a hospital. Apart from this,

deaths due to heat were also reported from Gopalganj, Jamui, Lakshmisrai and East Champaran districts. More than three hundred people have been admitted to hospitals in different districts. About 200 people have received treatment at Aurangabad District Headquarters Hospital.

Jharkhand
Four people died in Jharkhand due to extreme heat. Hospitals in various districts of the state have no space due to excess patient pressure.

The patient’s bed is being treated in an open area. Director of Jharkhand National Health Mission Dr. Alak Trivedi said, they died of heatstroke before being brought to the hospital.
