In 1965, due to his father’s job, Humayun Faridi started studying at United Islamia Government High School, Madaripur. Later, Faridi, who holds a master’s degree in economics from Jahangirnagar University, got involved with Natyangan in university life.

Drama festival started in Jahangirnagar University in 1976 with the initiative of dramatist Salim Al Deen.

And Humayun Faridi was one of its main organizers. In this festival, a drama called ‘Aatmastha and Hiranmoyid Vritanta’ was staged under Faridi’s own composition and direction. The play was considered the best at that time.
